Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

Founded in 1976, the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets are the oldest and largest farmers markets on the Central Coast with four markets: Aptos; two markets in Monterey; and Carmel. Each has its own style that reflects its community, with two markets operating year-round. With 80+ vendors, you'll find an unmatched selection of top quality produce and flowers from small regional farmers, many of which are certified organic and use sustainable farming methods. Specialty products include artisan breads and cheeses, exotic mushrooms, eggs, preserves, fresh fish, oysters, gourmet sauces and pasta, fresh-baked pastries, and fair-trade coffee and teas. We're a "certified" organization, meaning our farmers are certified with the state and sell only products they grow themselves. To support the communities in which we operate, we donate up to 3 spaces per month to local non-profits. The farmers markets are a team effort. We value the contributions of many individuals who work together to create a rich and vibrant experience for market customers and enhance the local communities we serve.
