Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

Martindale Family Farms has been farming in Gilcrest, about nine miles south of Greeley, Colorado for over 25 years. We are third generation Colorado farmers, with Matt’s grandparents immigrating from Italy where they also farmed. In 1976, we were invited to work directly with the Colorado Department of Agriculture to be among a select group of Colorado farmers to create and start the first farmer’s market in Denver, Colorado. We have participated in Farmer’s markets in Denver, Golden, Broomfield, Windsor, Fort Collins, Loveland, as well as, all across Colorado and Wyoming. Matt has farmed all his life, gaining expertise in growing and delivering farm fresh, delicious produce. We now provide four different sizes of farm fresh baskets. The medium basket feeds the average family of four for about a week. As produce peaks throughout the growing season, customers may receive bonus produce at no additional cost. There will also be “bulk” items available for purchase that are perfect for canning, freezing, salsa, sauces, and more. The website and opt in emails will let customers know what bulk produce is in season and any special offers. We are excited for the 2012 season!
