Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

The Higganum Village Farmers' Market supports local farmers and artisans by making Connecticut Grown farm-fresh foods and products available to shoppers on a weekly basis. The market is held on the Higganum Green every Friday from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. from June 1 through October 26. Please review the calendar for specifics. Buying locally conserves resources by reducing shipping and packaging and providing fresher food without or with less preservatives. Additionally, you help save valuable Connecticut farmland, which is increasingly being lost to residential and commercial sprawl. Founded in 2008, the Higganum Village Farmers' Market began as a group effort of several Haddam residents to promote the center of Higganum and renew a sense of community. The Market Board would like to thank the town of Haddam, the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, and Haddam/Killingworth Parks and Recreation for their cooperation and support.
