We are so excited to announce starting in January the authors of Field to Feast: Recipes Celebrating Florida Farmers, Chefs and Artisans (University Press of Florida), will be providing some of their favorite recipes for us to use in our Saturday Morning Market weekly emails for all to enjoy! The Field to Feast: Recipes Celebrating Florida Farmers, Chefs and Artisans was created by a trio of Orlando authors who tell the tale of food through longtime agrarians, heirloom-growing newcomers and innovative South Beach chefs. Authors Heather McPherson, Orlando Sentinel food editor and Pam Brandon and Katie Farmand, a mother-daughter team who run the magazine Edible Orlando, spent two years traveling the Sunshine State to collect stories and recipes. They found world-famous chefs who eagerly share their enthusiasm for fresh, seasonal ingredients. And they sought out the best recipes to highlight those flavors. In Field to Feast they share such treasures as chef Renee Savary’s crispy roast duck, a grown-up grilled cheese from Jodi Swank, and Reda Larson’s divine peanut butter pie.
