Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

The Rantoul Area Chamber of Commerce is a not for profit organization dedicated to adding value for it's members and the general community by bringing people together to support business, educational, social and community activities to create positive outcomes for community building initiatives. Our community, the Village of Rantoul, has a rich history of serving as one of the Air Force's key training facilities for over 75 years. Aviation hero Charles Lindbergh once trained here, and thousands of servicemen and women from around the globe studied and worked at Chanute Air Force Base. You can learn more about the former Chanute Air Force Base at the Octave Chanute Air Museum. Rantoul also has a strong agricultural component, bordered by farm fields featuring some of the best farm ground in the world that creates a vibrant agribusiness economy. Rantoul is also host to the nationaly recogonized "Half Century of Progress Farm Show" which draws tens of thousands of people to our community every other year to honor the tradition and history of farming. In Rantoul we also build high-quality windows and doors, automotive parts, telecommunications equipment, bio-tech products, athletic gear, health and beauty products, and even design world-class museum and park displays. We create beautiful works of art, write fiction and non-fiction stories and perform musically. We operate small and large businesses. We take care of our homes and property, and we reach out to help our neighbors. Most importantly, we get involved, and we invite you to join us. Rantoul features a broad array of activities for families, including sports activities, amazing aquatics center, parks and recreational facilities, a diverse selection of worship options, a well-maintained library and two beautiful golf courses. Some of the chambers special events include an exciting high energy Fourth of July freedom celebration complete with a 5K run, pancake breakfast, parade, car show, kids' activities and of course, one of the best fireworks displays in Central Illinois, the RACC golf outing, Annual Community Banquet, legislative luncheons, political candidates forum, member workshops and a community-wide lighted Christmas parade celebration. Rantoul is a classic Midwestern community, where neighbors are friends, shopping is convenient, and families thrive. We know you will enjoy your time here, and we hope you stay awhile.
