Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

MAMSA’s goal is to establish Downtown as a gathering place and center of community life; to promote commerce for locally owned and operated businesses; to promote cultural events for residents and visitors; and to create a small town atmosphere, with modern amenities, that is easily accessible to those traveling by car and on foot. As part of the Main Street Maryland Program, and as a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Mount Airy Main Street Association has developed its plans around the National Main Street Center’s Four Point Approach to Revitalization. This approach emphasizes the importance of working simultaneously in the following areas: ORGANIZATION, PROMOTIONS, DESIGN, and ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING.
