Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

n response to community demand for healthy, fresh, and affordable food, the Bowdoin Street Health Center is working alongside community members to improve access to healthy food right here! No bus rides, no drives, just a few steps away!!! We run the Bowdoin Geneva Farmers’ Market on-site at the health center – bringing the freshest, locally-produced fruits and vegetables right to the doorstep of those who live, work, learn, and play in Bowdoin Geneva. We work with local bodegas to procure healthier foods and beverages, promote the sale of these items, and access resources to make the venture successful. And, we run a youth employment crew of Senior Healthy Champions to build a generation of leaders and healthy food advocates here in Dorchester. Detailed information on our various programs is available on the Initiatives page of this site.
