Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

Richland Farmers' Market was started in 2008 by a group of local citizens who wanted to create a place for community gathering and an opportunity for local food sharing. In 2012, the market is entering its' fifth year, and has attracted a wide variety of vendors who provide fresh local fruits and vegetables, baked goods, meats, eggs, local honey, local maple syrup, fresh flowers, annuals and perennials, as well as Michigan made crafts The goals of the market are threefold: 1) to be a profitable outlet for local farmers and craft vendors, 2) to create a gathering spot and opportunity for social interactions for Richland area residents, and 3) to provide a predictable, ample selection and variety of high quality fresh, locally-grown produce and crafts for customers. Vendors at the Richland Farmers' Market must produce at least 90% of the products that they sell, and no mass produced or out of state products can be sold. Thus, you can be assured that you're getting local, fresh products that are produced by the person you're purchasing them from.
