The four-point approach to downtown revitalization designed by the National Main Street program to address specific areas of concern: Organization: works to maintain and grow support community-wide, manage fundraising efforts, recruit and retain volunteers, and stay in touch with the membership and community. Promotion: develops and coordinates special business and community events to attract customers and activity to Main Street and promote downtown as a unified business and community center. Design: encourages appropriate and unified design within the downtown district by helping property and business owners restore and enhance positive elements of their property, street amenities, commercial window displays, signage, etc. Economic Restructuring: works to plan and diversify the present ‘mix’ within downtown by working to attract a healthy balance of retail, professional, recreation, and residential uses. Lisbon Main Street, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization and contributions may be tax deductible.
