Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

Steve and Cookie's is located on Monroe Avenue and the bay in Margate. The structure built in 1936, once housed the "infamous" Strotbecks', a private dining club. Steve and Cookie's is open for dinner every night all year long, demonstrating our belief that Margate City can come to be known as more than just a seasonal town. Staying open has paid off with strong local support that sustains us through the long winter months. Every night we feature some of the best jazz musicians on the island,, in our piano room. We also have a classic Ash bar that locals love to congregate around. And in the winter you can smell the inviting scent from our two working fireplaces even before you enter our building. Then there's the "Verandah", our 100-seat dining room with 11 ft. windows overlooking the inland waterway. It is definitely the place "to be seen" in the summer months. Our newest addition is the Oyster Bar, a separate room with its own entrance. The "OB" has become "home" to many. Whether you are just getting a quick bite at the bar or meeting a group of friends the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the 'no reservation' policy fits well with many peoples lifestyle. Altogether, Steve and Cookie's seats 220 guests in five distinct dining areas.
