Organized in 1990, Troy Main Street is a non-profit organization promoting the economic revitalization of downtown Troy. Managing the downtown business recruitment and retention program, improving the visual image of downtown and organizing downtown community events are all part of the Troy Main Street effort. Contact Troy Main Street for more information on business, recreational or shopping opportunities in downtown Troy. A 13 member board of trustees reflects the diversity of the Troy community. Several committees direct the annual work plan which focuses on economic development, historic preservation and community events. Staff consists of a full-time Executive Director and two part-time employees. Funding provided by the City of Troy, downtown business memberships, contributions, grants and fundraisers.
