Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

Farrell is a 108-year old community in southwestern Mercer County located along the Pennsylvania/Ohio border. Our once great steel mill town has experienced its ups and downs. Although population has declined from a high of over fifteen thousand in 1920 to just over six thousand in the 2000 census, community pride has not diminished. Our ethnically diverse City has lost business, industry and people, but those of us who remain here continue to have hope for a bright future, just as our founders did when the City was incorporated as the Borough of South Sharon on November 15, 1901. For our residents and business owners, we encourage you to take advantage of our site and to contact us with questions, concerns or comments. We want to provide you the best service we can. For others, we hope you will visit our community in person. We will welcome you warmly.
