Wausaukee Wisconsin is centrally located in the County of Marinette. The original Wausaukee Village was founded in 1887 by John S Monroe to support the logging industry. The name Wausaukee comes from the Menominee Indians, the native settlers of this area, and means "among the rolling hills."
