Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

The mission of the members of Salem Saturday Market is: to provide local growers of agricultural products, producers of prepared foods, artisans and crafters with the opportunity, sites and services to market their products directly to the consumer; to enhance the quality of life in the Willamette Valley by providing our community with a vibrant, environmentally responsible gathering place; to strengthen and encourage community support for our local economy. The Market’s selling policy is to enable a customer to buy something from the person who made or grew it. All items must be handmade, grown, cooked or crafted by the member. All Market vendors are members of SSM and are juried by a committee of their fellow vendors before selling at the market to assure that only top quality foods, plants, produce and handcrafted items are sold at the Market. Vendors must comply with the requirements for licensure and inspection unique to their product. Appropriate insurance coverage is required.
