Simply put, strategic planning is clarifying the overall purpose and desired results of an organization, and how those results will be achieved. Here in the Village, the Plan will be an action oriented guide, based on an examination of internal and external factors, which will direct goal-setting and resource allocation prior to the Board creating the 2014 Budget. Staff will be divided into four working teams related to planning & development, facilities & infrastructure, business operations & administration and public safety. Public input into the process will be vital. Please watch this E-newsletter, the mail (survey), and our social media outlets for opportunities to get involved and provide input. The Plan's adoption is expected to be made later this fall.
